When I was student, we started to learn programming. We didn’t have much computers available to us in 1993, so we had to write small programs in Pascal on paper (it doesn’t say anyting about the quality of education. No, I think I’ve got a great engineering education).
Our first programming professor was an excentric person. And not a very nice one. He used to check our paper programs line-by-line, pointing with a pen, almost like an interpreting translator. We beleived if he found an infinite loop, he’d be stucked in it himself. Thus freeing ourselves from his teaching!
I have a small present for him!
Please let me escape this cycle!
